If you don't red Dean's site on a regular basis, you won't "get" me.
Dean is on a roll, again, kinda redundant for him, but meh.
Here is a quote, and as they say Read it All,
For example, I have grown to have a visceral loathing for people who heave unsubstantiated and venal accusations at whoever happens to be Commander in Chief while the country is at war. I believe such behavior is not just dishonorable but destructive–and it is completely dishonest to claim that you’re merely “criticizing” when you make vile, half-assed accusations. Calling the CiC a liar who took us to war to make his buddies rich is the most hateful and divisive rhetoric possible in a time of war. It requires the highest possible standards of evidence before you say it–or you earn my undying contempt.
It’s not that you don’t have a right to say those things, because you do. It’s just that I have every right to despise you for it–and believe me, I do. I also have every right to say so in the strongest possible terms–and believe me, I will. It’s called “Freedom of Speech,” and I’m practicing it when I do it.
I also, by the way, cannot summon up even one tiny gram of sympathy for Jane Fonda’s recent experience with a tobacco-spitting veteran. No doubt her defenders will pompously posture about how she was being attacked for “speaking out against war,” but that is a crock of s***. That’s not what she’s hated for at all, and anyone who says so is either a bald-faced liar or too pig-ignorant to bother talking to.
I’ll go further: If I’m ever in the same room with Michael Moore, I pledge to do the same thing to him if I possibly can. He is a maggot that eats off the dead. Furthermore, his apologists are vermin, no better than white supremacists or holocaust denialists in my book.
I could not agree more, cept I may very well end up in jail if I ever get within touching distance of Michael Moore, or Ted Rall for that matter.
