Hopefully this will be an ongoing thing……

Hello my name is Cinomed, and I am a MMA fan….like really….. So lets take a look at some of the going’s on and such.

March 26th we saw WEC 33 on VS, gotta love these “free” fights! Lots of good fighting, here are some of my faves.

Sergio Gomez of Tapout show fame, lost again, it was a good battle, but Sergio just looked out fought almost everywhere by Richard Crunkilton.

Marcus Hicks, who defeated Sergio at WEC27 on said Tapout Episode continues to impress with a win over Ed Ratcliff, Marcus has a mean MEAN guillotine choke, but watching his highlights, he is very well rounded, and you gotta love a rather soft spoken fighter that hold back on the smack talking.

Brian Stann the Marine defeats Doug Marshall, man what a heart breaker, this fight had the possibility of being a war… Doug has a lot more tools, and IMHO shouldn’t have tried to bang….tough he did rock Brian pretty good! Brian totally deserves the win, and I can’t wait to watch him defend his new belt, hopefully against Doug withing a few fights.

One more fight to comment on, Chael Sonnen wins a decision over Bryan Baker, now I love MMA, but this is an issue with any competitive sport I guess, watching someone dominate the opposition for the entire time limit…. it’s just a bit boring. Oh well, they can’t all be Chuck vs Wanderlia!

And Joe Rogan says, a boring MMA fight is better than an exciting game of NFL, NBA, MLB, ect ect ect ….

Here’s to hoping they pull it off, as a fan I am mildly concerned, and hopefully looking forward to seeing Kimbo face a real test in the ring.

Tim Sylvia leaves the UFC (prolly)
I don’t understand the general dislike of Tim, I think he is a great fighter, and love to see his matches. I was very impressed with his fight against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, but I hate Nog’s fights…..

Strike Force on NBC? 
Hmmm, I will definitely be DVRing it, but I dunno….. really wish UFC would get on a channel already!

Speaking of Strikeforce, Cung le VS Frank Shamrock 
Honestly, the first Strikeforce i am really jazzed about!

UFC Fight Night 04/02/2008
Whoa BABY! I want to see EVERY one of these fights! I have to admit to getting addicted to The Ultimate Fighter,  and this is like a TUF5 reunion…… I am all over it!!
